CO2,
Carbon Dioxide
The
myth and the
lies
So
what is carbon
dioxide? Carbon dioxide is a chemical compound
composed of one carbon and two oxygen atoms. It is often referred to by
its formula CO2. It is
present in the Earth's atmosphere at a low concentration at 0.04%. Even
if that amount were to double to 0.08% we would be fine. It
is, in a form we can all recognize, would be that in it's solid
state. "Dry Ice". Dry ice is 100%
carbon dioxide in solid form. The same stuff that freezes your ice
cream and other
food products at ground level somehow politically changes its
properties in the atmosphere and warms the planet. Other popular uses
for this "planet-warming killer" is used in your typical
fire extinguisher to put out fire, and we drink it every day
in our CARBONATED drinks (Coke, Pepsi,
Sprite...you get the picture). It is also used as a cooling supplement
or a refrigerant.
Some
believe it
causes global warming. Well global warming is the phenomenon whereby
the earth's atmosphere traps solar radiation, caused by the presence in
the atmosphere of gases such as carbon dioxide, water vapor, and
methane that allow incoming sunlight to pass through but absorb heat
radiated back from the earth's surface.
It
is a well-known
fact that CO2 levels go up in ice cores during an ice age. The main
fact is that the temperature changes before the CO2 does. So how can
CO2 be a trigger if it's level doesn't change dramatically before the
climate changing event?
Every 11,000 years or so when there was an ice age, higher
concentrations of CO2 can be found in that section of ice.
But we are told that this gas is a global-warming gas and we are
responsible. I'd like to have somebody explain to me how CO2 traps the
sun's energy
by allowing the heat energy to come in through the gas down
inside our atmosphere to ground level, but somehow this very same gas
will not let that very same energy back out into space. This is some
magical stuff!! It's a one-way
gas!! Welcome to the CO2 roach hotel gas!!
Did you know
they measure Carbon Dioxide directly at Mauna Loa in Hawaii? Did you
know that Kilauea is just a couple of miles from this point and it is
possibly the most active Volcano on the face of the earth (above sea
level)? Kilauea's CO2 emissions were steady at about 8,500
tons per day until 2004, then the measured emission rate
doubled, then nearly tripled in 2005. In fact, CO2 emissions are
currently continuing to be very high. This is the area where
CO2 emissions are being monitored for the global warming fanatics.
Think about that. What genious thought this one up?
What
got me seriously thinking that CO2 being blamed for Global Warming was BS,
is the simple fact that humans take in O2 (oxygen) and breathe out CO2
(carbon dioxide). The global warming supporters would have you believe
that carbon dioxide goes up into the atmosphere and traps heat, thus warming
the planet. So how come if you blow up a balloon with CO2 that you breathe out
it will fall to the ground? Why doesn't it go up? I'll tell you why. What you
breathe out is 16% CO2. The molecular weight of carbon dioxide is 44
and the molecular weight of oxygen is 32. That means carbon dioxide is much
heavier than air and it sinks! It falls to the ground, it doesn't go up, it
goes down. What they are saying is a scientific impossibility!! Explain to me how a
heavier-than-air gas manages to get up in the stratosphere with all the
other gases and dominate them at a 0.04% ratio to cause global
warming? It cannot do it. A helium filled balloon goes up because its molecular
weight is 4.0. That is 8 times lighter than air so it goes up. These are all
facts. What they are saying about CO2 cannot be true.
There
are dangers to CO2 and those would be:
- In
a solid form it's very cold, -109.3 degrees
F. If held to your skin for too long it will damage the skin and
underlying tissue.
- Carbon
dioxide gas coming off the dry ice or
CO2 gas being released from a tank displaces oxygen and it can kill
you. If you use dry ice for Halloween to fog up your house and you are
in an airtight room with it, it could be very deadly. You will
suffocate and die. Otherwise it's pretty harmless. I've read
that it doesn't even have to be an airtight room. Just displace enough
of the oxygen in a given area can cause you to pass out.
