"Global warming is not real?"
How can somebody not only make such
a statement, but go out of their way
to buy a domain name, set up a
website, pay for hosting services,
and then publish such an unpopular
belief on the Internet for the whole
planet to read? I mean after all,
didn't Nanci Pelosi, an elected
official and Speaker of the House,
just form a "Global Warming Panel"?
Hasn't "The Weather Channel" set up
a website to tell the masses that
Global Warming is real and we
should be doing something about it?
Didn't Heidi Cullen blog that the
American Meteorological Society (AMS)
should revoke the "Seal of Approval"
for any meteorologist who states
global warming isn't real?
(She is no more qualified to make
that statement than I am. Just
because you work for a television
station, or become some sort of
celebrity, doesn't make you right.
She may have Dr. in front of her
name but she is not qualified to say
such things or even post in that
blog. If you want an accurate
forecast then trust your local
meteorologist. They are right more
often than wrong on the short term
forecasts.)
Are there not scientists armed
with pictures, data, and facts
backing up these groups and proving
there is a problem?
The answer to these questions is a
resounding yes. So what makes me
think I am smarter and wiser than
all of these people and that global
warming doesn't exist? I don't. I
just got my facts from other places
and the two didn't add up.
I will first defend myself by saying
this planet is 4.5 billion years
old. Science agrees with that number
so until somebody comes along with
proof that it is otherwise then
it's the accepted fact worldwide. It
wasn't until around the late 1800s
(I believe it was around 1873 and
I'm sure somebody is bound to let me
know exactly when) that we started
documenting weather. Mankind didn't
launch the first weather satellite
until April 1, 1960. That gives the
human race a whole 47 years in space
and records documenting weather for
134 years. Yes we have ice cores
that go back thousands of years and
now recently Japan claims two million years.
What is 47 years of space
and 134 years of records compared to
4.5 billion? One could say the
first billion years there was no
life on the planet, it was still
cooling and rock was still forming
and there was no life. O.k. lets say
it took 4 billion years for life to
start making CO2 to be safe. That
would leave 500 million years....so
what's 134 compared to that? Nothing
compared to how old this planet is
and how long we have had weather and
a changing climate.
The climate has always changed. My
point is mankind has not been around
long enough with enough scientific
data and monitoring to make any
claims of what is and is not going
on. We should only be making
observations at this point and form
theories based on those
observations. To claim anything is
premature. Their argument is that
man is responsible for changing the
climate with the burning of coal and
oil. Well I have news for them. We
are not making any more than what was
already here in the first place.
Unless there is some secret
government/alien relationship and we
are getting carbon shipped in from
another planet and burning that up,
then we are not MAKING more carbon
and CO2 than was ever here to begin
with. O.k. so some used the word
released...but we still don't have more then we started with when the planet was formed.
I will agree the planet is warming. It has been warming since the last
"Little Ice Age" in 1680. The last 47 years have not seen the
amount of warming that was seen between 1680 and 1800. The fact is, we
have only warmed .56 C or 1 degree F in since 1961. Since 1998 the
temps have gone back down. If you charted global temperatures since
1998 to 2007, atmospheric temps have trended downward. Global warming has ended.
Global warming is a Scam
If you needed money, what lengths would you go to get it?
First you would have find something that could not be proven. You would need
something that has been around a real long time, that changes, and then has some
corrupt science to back up what you feel. You just need a really good idea to
put fear into peoples minds. "Global Warming" has become the new reality for
evil minded, money grabbing, political idiots that are turning into it into a
real danger. The 2008 election will be the first billion dollar election and
they need money. They have now found their funding for it.
Our Climate on planet earth has become the focus of attention lately.
Its not new, it has just become new to many because of some fancy smoke
and mirror tricks and fancy advertising. The climate is a changing
system. It has always changed. It will always change. The Sahara desert
used to be a lush tropical rain forest. England got blasted by a mini
ice age. They didn't scream global cooling....they just had fairs on
the river Thames when it froze starting in 1608 and the last fair was
in 1814. Was global warming to be blamed for the river Thames not
freezing anymore?
The vikings were wiped out during the 14th century because their
land froze as well. Was man responsible then or was this a natural
cycle? Since there were no factories or automobiles then what was to
blame? For 400 years there was a mini ice-age that somehow
reversed, yet there was no man made CO2 to blame to blame for the
sudden warming trend. The planet has been warming since that period. A
.56 degree Celsius change in temperature or 1 degree f since 1961 is
hardly an amount to alert the media or alarm the masses over. There was
much more warming before 1961 so it would seem to me that things have
reached their peak in 1998 which is the warmest year in recorded
history. Since 1998 global temperatures have been falling.
The political machine driving the
fear of impending doom, "unless we take action now", has gone
far and beyond any logical science. Here is the thing. Humans cannot control the
climate. We are powerless to stop, maintain, reverse, change or even slow the
change. Even if we all stopped driving our cars, turned off all the factories
and power plants tomorrow, the climate would still change. We could all get
naked, line up and hold hands singing "This land is our land" and it would have
the same effect. The climate would still change.
Saying "man must change
to stop what they are doing to the climate" is like saying we must stop jumping
up and down in California or we would trigger another earthquake. Hey!!! Let's
pass laws that all people in California must wear padded shoes and walk softly!!
If you are caught jumping you will be deported to a state with no fault
zones!!
There is a line between conserving energy and not wasting
resources to going way to the other side and say that we are changing the
climate. The political machine that is driving the press has not only crossed
that line but they are speaking for humanity without any proof that humans are
indeed causing this. They are heavily funded. This same group attacked the ozone
hole and cfc's, they attacked and sued the gun manufacturer's and also attacked
big tobacco. Now they are hungry for more money. If they continue this momentum
it will effect every person on this planet. They are way more scary then a
slowly changing climate.
This in time will play out to be the biggest
and greatest HOAXES every played on humanity. Yes the climate is changing, but
it is a natural cycle. They have absolutely no clue what it will be like in the
future. They can predict. So can I. Anybody could make a valid prediction if
they have enough rocks and ice cores to back up what they are saying. The study
of "climate" is in its infancy. We live on a planet that is 4.5 billion years
old and they want to take 47 years of science and tell us how it is? Remember
last years hurricane predictions? We were supposed to get an overwhelming amount
of hurricanes. How many landed? How many formed? They cannot predict 1 year out
so don't believe what they say is going to happen in 10, 20 or more years from
now. Listen to real scientists and meteorologists. Stop this freight train
before its too late. This will end up in courts and lawsuits against big
business before its over. These fanatics will have us back to walking in soft
soled shoes and wearing fig leaves to jobs where we mix nuts and berries and
sing Kumbya.
