There are two things in life that are almost impossible to argue--religion and politics. So what do these have to do with
science? Right now politics has the association. Politics
and science should never be confused with one or the other nor should they
intermingle. Unfortunately one group of politicians has intermingled in
science and we are now faced with the "global warming" issue. Climate
isn't new. But to hear it from politicians you would think it started
in 1998 which is the hottest year on record. Now those records are only
based on 47 years of data but they don't care about that. They don't care
about science either. They only care about what is going to get them
elected in 2008.
As a reader and researcher of this new science you must separate the
politics from the real fact. Be aware there are many scientists funded
by the politicians to spout whatever they are paid to say. Often from
observation and research many simple experiments can be conducted in
your own home. When searching the web be careful of what you read. Stop
and think about global warming before quiting your day job and pulling
the sheets over your head. Science is not perfect. There have been
tremendous gains and understandings due to science but there have also
been flops and mis predictions that have cost human lives.
Just because somebody has a P.H.D, or has a science degree does not
mean what they say is right. It is not a license to be correct
everytime they open their mouths. We must trust in science but
scientists are human and are just as prone to fail as any other human.
I will admit things were getting warmer. There was a force at work that
most people have ignored. It is not humans causing global warming. It
is the sun. Long-term studies document that fluctuations in the intensity of solar radiation
are closely correlated with warming and cooling trends in the Earth's
temperature. These facts are scrupulously ignored by those determined to use the
"global warming" myth to destroy industrial civilization. There is another force only a few have touched on. That would be undersea volcanoes. Would it make more sense that a volcano or your car could effect the temperature of the ocean more?
The
group of global warming fanatics has ignored the fact that one
side of Antarctica has grown far more in size than the side they say is
melting. This group of fanatics is monitoring 30 glaciers and ignoring
the fact that out of the millions of acres of glaciers many are growing.
To
me science should work like this. Somebody studies something, makes
observations of what they are studying, then forms a hypothesis.
Others come in behind and either agree based on their observations or
refute it. They get together and use different observation techniques
and studies to get to a point they form a hypothesis they all
agree on and set it in stone. Or spend the next few decades arguing
about it while both sides dig up more evidence to support their
findings such as an asteroid killing the dinosaurs. When science jumps
out of bounds and gets involved with politics and a mixed message
is placed on the shoulders of every living human being, humanity has a
huge problem. This is the new witch hunt for the 21st century.
What
is happening with global warming is a group of so called
scientists that are "media rich", have taken their hypothesis and
rammed it down every bodies throats as fact. They are trying to silence
real scientists that are observing the exact opposite of what they are
trying to tell us. Global warming is about funding and money. We should
be studying the sun and the oceans, not giving politicians a Nobel
Peace Prize.
Stop
and think about what you are being told. What has more effect on our
planet? Humans or the sun? What has more power to control the climate,
the atmosphere or the oceans? Do enough research and soon you will find
that what you read in the liberal press or what you hear and watch on a
liberal based tv network is based on getting their party elected in
2008.
